Cubery, a tech-driven research and insights agency, has tested the effectiveness of 13 leading Christmas campaigns and discovered this festive season, one ad stands head and shoulders above the others. They made a list, checked it twice and named our RedBalloon “Break with Tradition” campaign as the most effective Christmas ad of the year, announced by Mumbrella on 13/12/18.
When it comes to Christmas, it can be a fine balancing act between delivering effective messaging and reinforcing the festive emotion. Phil Toppi of Cubery says ”The RedBalloon campaign proves that both are possible and – when done right – can be an extremely potent combination.”
So what is the secret to the ad’s success? We created the ad from the idea that when it comes to gifts, experiences are much more memorable than material things. After all, you remember things you’ve done more than the objects you’ve acquired.
This strong message is delivered in a tongue-in-cheek style, complete with larger-than-life slow-motion reactions.
