At Ultimate Edge we talk a lot about ‘marketing funnel management’ and we love finding ways to help our clients pull more consumers through their funnel.
What constantly scares me is how so many businesses are unaware of the leakage in their sales funnel. For every stage they have in their funnel, there is another opportunity for a consumer to “drop off/exit” along the path to purchase. When you look at this in detail, it can become a really confronting scenario. For example: If I have 100 leads that I drive into the top of my funnel, but I only have a 4% conversion rate to sale at the bottom end, that means for every 100 people I capture as a lead, only 4 will convert.
The question we have to ask ourselves here is what has to happen for a consumer to buy from me AND how can I help them move through my sales funnel to purchase? Finally, how can I make the customer experience so damn good – that they actually enjoy the process as well!
So where do you start?
Start with your sales stages. Map them out from start to finish, look at where the drop offs are and ask yourself WHY are they dropping off?
This is what keeps me up at night……
