Step 1:  Focus on guest blogging If you don’t have your own web page blog, get one. Then invite guest celebrities/bloggers/experts in your industry to guest post on your page. Share through social media channels. Repeat.

Step 2: Create content with users in mind Don’t get bogged down in the mechanics of content marketing. Just focus on creating relevant content for your users and the rest will follow.

Step 3: Diversify your forms of content It’s important not to focus on just one area. Play around with your forms of content creation – make videos, memes and slideshows. Get creative and get higher levels of engagement from your customer.

Step 4: Don’t be afraid to establish a higher budget than normal for content marketing Content marketing gets results. So why not invest in an area that will significantly increase user engagement?

Step 5: Work on building your personal brand as well as developing content for your business Your personal brand is linked to the content you create. Create strong content and you’ll be strengthening your personal brand.

Step 6: Integrate your content with your email marketing and social media marketing Make sure your content is aligned across all channels of customer communications. Keeping messaging consistent is key.

Step 7: Place an equal effort on promoting your content once you publish it Once you’ve put the effort into creating great content you need to get it out there! Using your social media channels is a great way to get started. If it’s really great content – it might even go viral from there!
