Using Empathy to Communicate Product Benefits

As we’ve shown before, we’re big fans of ads that make us laugh.

But in order for an ad to be truly great, it can’t just be entertaining – it has to be effective too. The ad must showcase a product or service and connect with the market. Humour alone isn’t enough to get the job done.

To showcase their product, SEEK came out with this gem. The ad showcases a particularly bad fit for a new employee in a comedic way. With it, SEEK manages to demonstrate the relevance of their product to their market while also entertaining viewers with its ridiculous premise. We really love it because it’s fun, useful and relatable.

…And to be fair, cat day sounds pretty awesome.
