You understand social media like the back of your hand. You know all the key players and influencers and can cut through the hype, smoke and mirrors and deliver tangible, measurable outcomes. You’re a doer, you make magic happen.
You understand the process, the rules of engagement and the special context of social media as it has and continues to evolve as a legitimate and essential contributor to successful media and marketing campaigns.
You can identify and coordinate the various elements involved that make up a strategic campaign with the creative team to produce real, tangible results with minimum waste, duplication or bottlenecks.
When it comes to smaller accounts, budgets or campaigns, you are a standalone ‘powerhouse’ happy to get it all done on your own from creating, editing and publishing content across different platforms with minimum supervision or hand-holding.
You crave having control and autonomy to design results-focused and science-based advertising campaigns and strategies from start to finish. You hate flushing client dollars down the drain by guessing or trying untested or unproven methods. You live and breathe real data and analytics.
You’re in your element across all the various platforms, channels and technological tools available and understand how each of them caters to specific needs of various customer demographic and psychographic groups.
Being able to see the strategic big picture is the key to selecting the detailed tactics that create tangible, achievable and systematic actions that you know work to create the engagement that is synonymous with and essential to social media success.
As the expert that you are you know posting rehashed or recycled content will only irritate prospects or customers. You know the balance required between long versus short content and the rapidly shifting interest in video and interactive voice marketing.
You know that excellence lies in the detail. Total concentration is what makes the difference between producing average results and extraordinary results – consistently. That’s why you pay attention to every pin, like, post, tweet, comment, and view. Each has a story to tell, revealing what’s working and what’s not. That’s that turns you on – discovering the many layers that are evolving as this medium matures and establishes its legitimacy and commercial power.
You understand how to create highly contagious content people will share and engage with. It’s part art, part science and you know how to combine the two to unleash the psychology of sharing by touching people at the deepest visceral level.

Accountable marketing requires you clearly define your goals, focus on the metrics that matter and determine what’s working and what’s not with a live, dynamic, real-time, interactive feedback loop.

If you’re considering this role, here’s what we expect from you:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of social media experience
- Advertising or promotional agency experience is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication proficiency in English
- Intimate understanding of organic and paid influence opportunities
- Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, Hootsuite, YouTube, Google Ads Manager, Photoshop
- Knowledge of data (Google Analytics, Facebook and Instagram Insights, Twitter Analytics, and benchmarked data)
- Being able to test and optimise opportunities through A/B testing, multivariate testing, and dashboard widgets
- Ability to tell original and engaging stories (storytelling) using text and images
- A positive “go-getter” and an eager-to-learn attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curating, delivering and updating content across all social media platforms (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, etc.)
- Developing and optimising content shareability to drive deeper audience engagement, retention and growth
- Producing accurate data-driven reports focusing on core learnings and insights
- Collaborating with the team to brainstorm creative and innovative campaigns
- Developing and optimising methods to track and measure customer engagement and growth
- Ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, and grammatically correct
- Taking responsibility for all social media strategy
- Working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider creative team
