It’s always refreshing to see an ad that comes across as genuine and really makes you feel understood. Not only are these ads a joy to watch (and an immediate standout), they’re effective too.
This ad by Chatbooks is one of the best we’ve seen yet! It’s fun, loaded with personality, genuine and very well executed.
To start with, the ad immediately speaks to who it’s for – and it does so in an emotionally engaging way. It opens with a humorous look at the busy lifestyle of a mum, and every busy mum who can relate will immediately switch on to the fact that this message is for them.
After grabbing the attention of its target demographic, the ad goes on to describe the problem that the product solves. The app offers a way to create photo albums automatically so that mums can capture every moment of their children’s lives without actually having to find the time to organise the photos.
In a stroke of sheer genius, the ad even describes in detail who the app is not for. This is a step that’s overlooked all too often in marketing, and it’s a great way to leave money on the table. Never try to appeal to all people all the time – clearly define who your product is for and why you’re the best option for them. It will only go to help your target demographic feel even more understood.
